Hallo zusammen, nach vielen Jahren werde ich den Betrieb von pixelfed.cafe zum 31. Oktober 2026 einstellen und das Projekt damit beenden. Diese Entscheidung ist mir nicht leichtgefallen. Meine beruflichen und privaten Prioritäten haben sich verändert und mir fehlt inzwischen schlicht die Zeit, die für den zuverlässigen Betrieb einer solchen Instanz notwendig ist. Hinzu kommen technische und organisatorische Gründe: Der Betrieb auf meinem Hoster stößt inzwischen regelmäßig an seine Ressourcen-Grenzen, und auch Updates von Pixelfed bringen immer wieder Probleme mit Abhängigkeiten mit sich. Gleichzeitig entwickelt sich das Pixelfed-Projekt derzeit leider langsamer weiter, als ich es mir wünschen würde - der Fokus liegt momentan scheinbar mehr auf Loops und mobilen Apps als auf Pixelfed. Bis zur Schließung bleibt pixelfed.cafe wie gewohnt erreichbar. Bitte nutzt die verbleibende Zeit, um eure persönlichen Daten zu sichern.
